II-VI is looking for a Senior Electrical & Energy Manager
Summary of Position:
1. Energy Management
Ensure compliance with RA11285 (Energy Efficiency and Co
nservation Act) its mandates, provision, codes, and guidelines on the implementation of the energy management system of the company.Formulate an effective energy management policy through co
nsultation with all stakeholders within the organization. Lead and drive the implementation of an energy management system. Create a system audit process and ensure that the system audits are co
nducted regularly. Plan, organize and execute improvements set by the department and the organization.e
valuate energy use and design energy programs that increase efficiency and reduce energy-related costs. Redesign processes, retrofit buildings and equipment, and plan energy-related systems for new projects.
2. Electrical Section Supervision
Supervise electrical co
ncerns of the company and ensure compliance to standards and regulations stated in the Philippine Electrical Code and RA 7920 (New Electrical Engineering Law)Implement electrical projects co
nceptualized as an output of the Energy Management System.Provide electrical engineering recommendations and technical support on electrical engineering reviews, strategic plans, and projects.Drive the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, not reactive.
3. Overall Business Management and Special Assignments
Initiate co
ntinuous improvement programs and activities. Ensures that the Electrical Section expenses are within budget/forecast. Institute cost saving and reduction initiatives to align section expenses with approved budgets.Co
ntribute to the strategic planning and decision making so that the manufacturing strategies and plans are aligned with the long-term vision, mission, and objectives of the business organization.Demo
nstrate strong leadership skills to organize and motivate perso
nnel under him. Work closely with the Senior Facilities Manager to develop and implement programs to ensure employee welfare, safety, and effectiveness.Implement appropriate co
ntrol measures to ensure compliance to II-VI code of ethics and general business practices and other II-VI regulations which are subject to financial, operations and risk assurance audits review.Work to establish best engineering and people management best practices throughout the assigned area which include employee’s positive involvement.Keep knowledge and skills current by participating in educatio
nal opportunities, reading professio
nal publications, networking and participating in professio
nal organizations.
4. Environmental, Health and Safety
Identify opportunities for using energy from less polluting sources, including renewable energy and cleaner fuels and make appropriate recommendations to management.Accountable to maintain a clean and safe manufacturing plant in compliance with the company and government's EHS rules, procedures, and regulations.Respo

nsibility in the workforce for EHS performance.
Qualifications:
Should be a Licensed Electrical Engineer and Certified Energy Manager.Minimum of 8 years of chemical or process manufacturing or engineering design experience.At least five (5) years in Engineering management and Equipment Maintenance Management experience.In-depth knowledge and experience in TPM, Project Management, Lean Manufacturing and other SPC, problem solving tools and techniquesExperience in managing upwards and laterally throughout a business organization and working within a multi-natio
nal organization is co
nsidered a plus.
