Qualifications:
● A CPA with experience in professional services and/or consulting firm experience, minimum of 8 years experience in general accounting
● Solid experience in Xero
● Strong bookkeeping and monthly payroll experience
● Solid understanding of AR, AP, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, Profit and Loss Statement, Fringe Benefit Tax, Superannuation, Business Activity Statements, and other Accounting Principles.
● Knowledge in Australian/UK Payroll and Tax is an advantage
● Technically adept, strong attention to detail.
● Ability to communicate at all levels of the business, good interpersonal skills. Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify issues and suggest solutions.
● Adaptability in a changing environment
● Lead by example with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
● Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
● Manage day to day financial operations and accurate bookkeeping inclusive of all accounts payable and receivable functions.
● Prepare monthly payroll
● Analyse trends by client and work-mix including key drivers of profitability across different service lines
● Manage cash-flow projections and weekly reporting to CEO and MD
● Lead the timely and accurate preparation of other statutory reporting and compliance including BAS, FBT, Superannuation and ASIC

● Manage all banking and loan requirements
● Follow-up payments in arrears and advise CEO and MD
● Ensure client records are up to date in Xero
● Prepare month-end and year-end financials for review by external CFO
● Prepare annual accounts for submission to external accountant, liaise with external accountant re preparation of tax returns
● Prepare and manage reconciliations for major projects
● Regular financial analysis of product pricing and review of rates for all product streams
● Tracking and management of external contractor payments
● Ad hoc reports as required
