Company Introduction
P&B Valises et Compagnie Inc., formally a partnership was established in 1984 and later incorporated and registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission on  December 06, 1994 with registration no. AS094-00011073. Primarily a manufacturer and exporter, P&B directly employs 180 craftsman with a subcontract network of almost 300 persons. The headquarters and main manufacturing facility includes 30,000 sq ft of covered area, with exterior loading docks, staff housing and a self sufficient power plant. The flagship retail store and showroom is located within the Shangri-La Hotel  in Manila.  While this operates primarily as a display site for international export business, products with registered trademarks “PRIZMIC & BRILLTM”  and  “ DESIGN ETNIKA TM”  are also promoted  within the domestic market. P&B Valises et Compagnie Inc.’s management is confident that Asian local markets provide viable business opportunities since no other Asian companies have capabilities of effectively duplicating its products. Such activity will not undermine P&B Valises et Compagnie Inc.’s strategy of protecting its design and intellectual properties.  Exportation and distribution of products is world-wide with major wholesalers in Europe and the United States. Contract business with hotels and resorts shares a large portion of production. Private label programs are entertained regularly.  However, customer base remains limited and exclusive to long-term relationships. Monthly production capacity is pegged at approx. 2,000 units of furniture and 3,000 units of leather goods and accessories.  Lead-time for delivery is 45 to 90 days per contracted purchase order.  Substantial inventories of raw materials are warehoused within the premises.  Imported materials are limited to what is not available in the local market. Manufacturing and processing is achieved in-house with a fully automated wood craft department, a machine shop for tooling of hardware and fittings (brass), a sewing department, a pneumatically equipped assembly line, and wood kilns / finishing and spray booth facilities.  Quality control and packing departments prepare goods for shipment. Designs are conceptualized both in-house and/or with the input of the client. The company is constantly developing new design concepts to entice and keep its image exciting. Frequent trips to Europe, the U.S. and throughout Asia draw inspiration of culture and provide new ground for market research, development, and historical connotations. All products are developed with the utilization of traditional and natural materials and adhere to environment friendly standards. Management believes that the conditions which currently exist in the international market place present the company with unlimited opportunity to maintain and continue building a business with significant capabilities. As the P & B concept remains classic, the “tradition” will forever be its image and market place. Tradition never goes out of style – it gathers strength.
