CDI Sakata Inx Corporation is a joint venture with Sakata Inx Corporation, a leading Japanese company and the fifth largest printing ink manufacturer in the world. CDI, then known as Chemical Dispersions, Inc. was incorporated on September 22, 1964. Since that time, it has been transformed into one of the prime manufacturers of metal coatings, glass enamels and printing inks used for diverse applications like beverage bottles, crowns, screw caps, can bodies, paper labels, corrugated cartons, laminates and other packaging materials.



In 1992, CDI became CDI Sakata Inx Corporation when Sakata Inx Corporation became its partner.
