LPG leaders unite to strengthen industry’s role

2023-03-03 10:536370

The local LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) industry is staging its largest summit as they seek to strengthen their role in the changing energy landscape.

Former LPGMA Party-list Representative and Republic Gas Corporation (REGASCO) President Arnel Ty is spearheading the largest summit for LPG dealers in the Philippines, which will be held on March 2-3, 2023 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

With the theme “Roadmap for Safe Operations of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Industry”, the summit aims to engage the LPG industry dealers, the Department of Energy (DOE), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in promoting the importance of the LPG Law and the Consumer Protection Act. These laws seek to regulate the industry, protect consumers, and promote the use of clean energy.

The event marks the culmination of the Regional Summits that were held in La Union and Pampanga last January and February.

Ty believes that the summit will serve as a platform for LPG dealers nationwide to learn about the latest industry trends, best practices, and innovative solutions that can help them become more competitive and sustainable.

“The event will feature various topics such as safety and security, market trends, consumer protection, and the role of LPG in the country’s energy mix,” said Ty.

The summit is expected to draw around two to three thousand participants from LPG dealers across the Philippines. It will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to network with industry experts, policymakers, and key stakeholders, and to gain valuable insights on how to improve their business operations.

Overall, the LPG dealer summit organized by Ty is a significant event for the Philippine LPG industry as it underscores the importance of promoting sustainable energy, protecting consumers, and empowering businesses to thrive in a rapidly evolving market.
