Act as Pollution Control Officer of the company.
Main Responsibilities:
v Legal and other requirements
Ø Update and maintain environmental regulatory register including permitting compliance list
Ø evaluation of compliance
§ evaluate compliance to specific requirements of each legal requirement based on actual compliance company-wide
§ Submit reports as per legal requirement
v Chemical Management
Ø evaluate chemicals in consideration of the following:
§ legal and other requirements (applicable permits/ certificates) based on the composition of the chemical
§ environmental aspect and impact
§ disposal considerations for potential waste
v Incident Reporting and Management
Ø Lead the investigation process for environmental issues including determination of corrective action
§ Issuance of Corrective Action Request (CAR) for every incident
§ Lead the investigation of incident together with the BU including worker's representative
§ Follow-up of corrective action implementation and closure of CAR
§ Analysis of all incidents, determine and implement required actions
v Pollution Prevention
Ø Ensure implementation of pollution prevention programs
§ Identify all pollution emission sources
§ Ensure implementation of controls for the identified sources. Coordination with BU/ department
v Monitoring and measurement
Ø Establish and maintain monitoring and measurement
Ø Implement annual monitoring and measurement for the areas:
§ air pollution source emissions (ambient measurement & stationary source (genset, wave solder)
§ water discharge (sampling points identified by PEZA)
§ solid waste & hazardous waste (as required)
Ø Analysis of trend including abnormal and exceedances. Implement actions as required
v Environmental Orientation & Trainings
Ø Conduct environmental awareness orientation to newly hired employees
Ø Conduct environmental trainings as per training plan
v Audit
Ø Participate in audit (both Internal and External)
