Contract Specialist

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conducts site validation on submitted Work Variation and UCE requests.
2. Professional interaction with colleagues, contractors and consultants.
3. Checks the compliance of proponents on claim requirements
4. Updating of data on VO and TE monitoring to be used for future contracting improvements
5. Ensure records management principles, procedures and maintenance of files and file systems of the unit/section
6. Review and evaluate unit cost estimates request from proponent in compliance with contract provisions and ensures its timely evaluation.
7. Ensure compliance to Integrated Management System (IMS) standards and operating procedures.
8. Perform other tasks as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Graduate of any Engineering course (Civil/Mechanical/Sanitary/Electrical/Electronic and Communications, and Industrial)
Licensed Civil/Mechanical/Sanitary/Electrical/Electronic and Communications and Industrial Engineer
WORK EXPERIENCE
With at least eight 1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Contract Management related works
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
o Preferably with knowledge on FIDIC Contract conditions
o Computer literate (Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power Point) with the ability to learn new software applications.
o Knowledgeable in project scheduling such as PERT-CPM, S-Curve, and MS Project
o Ability to interpret contract provisions.
o Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
