Qualifications:
Licensed Mining Engineer Significant (Eight years plus) mine engineering experience in a senior open pit production/management role in the gold mining industryBlasting Foreman's experience and license is an advantageExperience in contract management is desirableKnowledge of technical and operating processes relevant to mine planning and scheduling.Understanding of mining regulation and statutory responsibilities.Job Description:
Establish systems, procedures, and workflows to develop short, medium, and long-term plans and schedules to guide mine development and control.Provides backup/alternate mine management duties as required.Ensures operations staff are engaged in the mine planning, optimization, and productivity processes and improvements. Provided with the shift, week, month, and budget plans including stage plans, to allow efficient and effective execution of the plan/s.Manages the overall collection, analysis, and reporting of mine information to assess performance statistics, statutory requirements, systems efficiencies, and business improvement initiatives. Recommend systems improvements.Develops continuous improvement targets for the function and drive and measure achievement of these targets.Assists with implementation of change management initiatives and other business improvement projects.Assists with developing, implementing, and maintaining safe work procedures and promoting high safety and health awareness. Promote and comply with the FCF Occupational Health & Safety Policy.Ensure appropriate facilities, procedures, and workforce competence to achieve legal compliance, and incident prevention and achieve tasks in an environmentally sustainable manner.Ensure the development and maintenance of up-to-date job procedures for all tasks performed within the team.Ensure effective communication with your delegate prior to departure from the site.
