Building Engineer
Job Description:
· Responsible for supporting the Property Manager in achieving the global quality standards of the building and facilities. He does this by implementing the cleaning schedules of the Facilities team; implementing the repair schedules; implementing the renovation schedules, waste reduction improvements, and implementing the guidelines for the upkeep of equipment/supplies and safety inspections.
· Periodically conducts maintenance surveys and safety audits to determine repair/renovation needs of the building and facilities.
· Identifies maintenance issues such as clogged drains, leaky ceilings, and pipes, faulty electrical switches, busted lights, dilapidated floorings, cracked walls, damaged furniture, and fixtures, etc. and immediately reports to the Property Manager.
· Determines the necessary installation or repair service, as well as the corresponding cost/budget.
· Creates project layouts (if needed) based on specs and design discussed by the Property Manager.
· Coordinates with the purchasing department in sourcing out possible suppliers for the material requirements, canvass, orders, and facilities procurement of various materials/requirements for the project.
· Monitors and implements project schedule/timeline as set by the Property Manager, submits regular reports and files maintenance records.
· Prepares punch lists and conducts a quality inspection of projects prior to turnover and acceptance.
· Develops and implements maintenance, safety and cost-saving policies and procedures.
