Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting and overseeing sampling operations and other field services as defined in the Matrix of Sampling Techniques, and in accordance with SGS Policies and Procedures, SGS Safety Policies and Quality Management System policiesSpecific Responsibilities
Ensures job operational requirements are achievedA.1. DENR-Accredited Team Leader for Source Emission TestingOversees field sampling processesProperly assigns sampling activities to all members of the field sampling teamsEnsure all FDS are properly and completely field up and submitted on time to his/her immediate superior for timely completion of service reports.A.2. DENR-Accredited QA/QC for Source Emission Testing Prepares and submits test plans for Source Emission Testing JobsCoordinates with the relevant regulatory bodies and ensures compliance to regulatory requirements related to field work.Counterchecks field data sheets and reviews/evaluates generated air test results Ensures that all sampling field requirements are performed based on the approved sampling methods and requirements as defined in the Matrix of Sampling Techniques and based on the Work PlansCoordinate with the EHS lab the requirements for field sampling such as but not limited to the following: Standard solutions, sampling media, tedlar bags, etc.Ensures that all sampling equipment are suitable, calibrated, maintained, and fit for use.Conducts theoretical and on the job trainings for field sampling team members. Assists the CEMs Services Specialist in conducting RATA, RAA, RGA and other CEMs ServicesOversees outsourced environmental field services and performs water/soil/sediment sampling activities and other EHS field servicesSigns field data sheets, laboratory worksheets, and receive and reviews samples as per service contract.DENR-Accredited QA/QC – signs Source Emission Test ReportPerforms other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superiorComplies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to:Demonstrates strong obligation to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures, and work instructions by actively participating in meetings, projects, and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEEPerform appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplaceDisposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirementsEfficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superiorMaintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization’s 5S program and guidelinesMaintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE CoordinatorsActively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS managementFulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System o Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligationsQualificationsProfile
BS Chemical Engineering (Licensed)Must have DENR-Accreditation as SET QA/QC- must have completed QA/QC work and SET report in a minimum of 20 source emission sampling and testing project.Conduct source emission testing (US EPA Method 1-5, 6,7, 8, 10)Conduct ambient air monitoring (TSP, PM2.5/10, Ozone, Noise, metals, NO2, SO2, etc.)Willing to be assigned in Makati
