Safety Inspector (Project-based Negros Occidental)

Enforce and ensure that all government and company safety regulations and guidelines are being followed properly, Identifies workplace hazards and proposes actions to prevent accident or mitigate the effects of identified risks;Conduct comprehensive inspections and investigations, write orders and reports.Check the appropriateness of protective equipment and ensure employees and workers all have everything they need to work safely. Observe crews at work and reports laxity in safety precautions, such as failure to use goggles, rubber gloves, and other safety devices.Inspects equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure safety of workers engaged in construction. Inspects safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and tools and require replacement of those not meeting safety requirements. Inspect availability and operability of safety tools and equipment of the contractor.Works with Safety Manager to make immediate investigations of accidents/ incidents and report findings and recommendations to the Construction Manager.Coordinate with the contractor to ensure good housekeeping and high standards of safety in the workplace at all times;Promotes adherence to and supports all company safety, security and environmental rules, policies and procedures with a zero-tolerance mentality;Provides technical safety support for construction activities.Attend and participate in contractors tool box and sub-committee meetings.Performs other duties and safety related functions as necessary to ensure an accident-free workplace.

Qualifications:

College degree, preferably engineering courseCurrent certifications/accreditations in safety management, construction safety, occupational health and safety including trainings such as Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) and Loss Control Management (LCM) and other advance trainings to be a Safety Officer 2.5years’ work experience in geothermal or other energy related industry.Working knowledge and practical experience in a construction settingExperience with various construction techniques, construction equipment, and in health and safety hazards and controls  Ability to enforce, interpret and apply legislation  Ability to conduct inspections and investigations including interviewing experience and experience handling evidence  Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and relevant regulations, standards, and legislation relevant to the appropriate construction sector  Good oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership capabilityMS Office Proficient Preferably candidates from nearby towns/areaOpen for 1-year project-based engagement
