BIM Manager, Assistant Digital Engineering Manager, Assistant MEP BIM Manager - with SIGNING BONUS

You will lead & manage a section of the BIM/Digital Engineering department for One Zone comprising of 2 x Team Leaders and 14 x 3D modelers.

Your team will be responsible for delivering BIM/Digital Engineering support to Clients for projects located throughout the UK, Middle East, Australasia and USA.

Responsible for the complete operation and management of your section of the BIM/Digital Engineering team with full responsibility for the project resource budgets of the team, whilst ensuring the company BIM procedures are implemented.

In conjunction with the wider 3D Management team, you will be constantly reviewing and looking for ways in which to improve the quality and efficiency of the BIM/ Digital Engineering production.

Team Leadership:

Undertake project assessments in conjunction with the 3D Management team & Engineering team to /confirm/i:3D tasks & durations,Interdependencies of Engineering inputs and Client informationprogram & works sequencingDelivery Release ScheduleAllocate and monitor works to team members,Undertake QA/QC checks of team members work,Monitor progress and quality to ensure delivery dates and quality are achieved,Liaise and communicate internally & externally via email, telephone calls, and video conference where required,

Management & Reporting:

Monitor & report on productivity within the 3D team,Monitor & report on QA/QC standards and compliance by the 3D team,evaluation of 3D works and tasks in conjunction with the Design Technology Manager, Team Leaders & Project Leads,Produce Project Progress, Man Hour Usage, Team Performance, and Team evaluation Reports,Assist in the evaluation and training of the 3D and engineering teams in the use of 3D softwareAssess the workload & resource for the 16-person BIM team, and ensure resource is allocated to complete the works in the required timescalesAttend weekly/daily resource & progress meetingsEnsure that the company BIM procedures are implemented, and that QA is being carried out on projectsEnsure the full implementation of Revit including creation of project templates and project setupDevelop systems to improve the BIM/CAD operator’s technical abilitiesReview software & logistic requirements, and advise management on additional requirementsAssist the Design Technology Manager to develop inhouse training for all 3D team members employees and cross over staff from the Engineering & 2D teamsImplement existing BIM/CAD standards and develop new standards as required, to ensure compliance with company Quality Standards and Client requirementsProvided support to the Managing Director & Senior Management team for fee proposalsUndertake project performance reviews and identify Lessons LearnedSupport business development activities via Client relationships and production of marketing material from 3D projects

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental and Sanitary Engineering is preferable.Knowledge of MEP / HVAC / Public Health & Drainage systems in buildings is required.Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Electrical Design or Mechanical Design or be working towards certification.At least 7 years of experience with Revit MEP and Naviswork Manage specializing in MEP Engineering or equivalentAt least 3 years in a Management roleExcellent written and spoken English language skills.Detailed knowledge of MEP/HVAC systems.Required essential skills: Advanced knowledge of Revit MEP / AEC, Bentley AECOsim, Navisworks Manage, BIM360, CDE’s.Required preferable skills/knowledge: Dynamo Studio, Fabrication CADmep, MagiCAD, SysQue, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, COBie, MEP prefabrication, production of BoQ’s / BoM’s utilizing Revit, etc, knowledge of ISO 19650 & ISO9001:2015Knowledge of the following software:Dynamo Studio,Naviswork Manage,Fabrication CADmep,AutoCAD,AutoCAD Plant 3D,BIM360 / AutoDesk Construction CloudIdeate software; BIMlink, Align, Sheet Manager, CloneMagiCADMicrodeskDiRootsPyRevitMEP Up/DownEnscapeUnderstanding of RIBA design process to enable the delivery of design stages and BSRIA BG6Good Coordination skills within all disciplines of MEP, team-orientedHigh standard, attention for detail indicative of 2D/3D drawingsFamiliar with MEP installation and accessibilityWilling to learn and input new ideas into the efficiency of the Team.A good understanding/usage of written and verbal English is required.
