Job Description
The Assistant Manager for Business Process Engineering should lead and drive innovation in the operations processes by understanding emerging technologies and spotting for opportunities on how it can solve existing business challenges
Responsibilities (how we will measure success)
Business Requirements Analysis
Have a good orientation of the processes involved and spot for opportunities where technology can be leveragedElicit business requirements and validate understanding to align with business needsDevelop the needed documentation to express these requirementsSolution Engineering and Delivery
Identify technology or process improvement solution candidates to solve an identified business problemDesign, Develop, and/or configure solution platforms (automation, low-code / no-code technology, dashboards, etc.) in place to deliver benefits to the organisationPerform Quality Assurance on solution components developedDeploy solutions to development, test, and production environmentsLiase with different stakeholder groups to ensure that the solutions will be deployed correctly, other risks are considered, and have mitigations in placeConduct continuous review of existing solutions deployed and determine if there are opportunities for optimisation and refactor if neededDevelop and maintain the necessary documentation for the solutions deployedSupport technology implementation of both in-house and/or external projectsR&D & Technology Thought Leadership
Research emerging platforms to identify possible opportunities where it can be appliedEnsure continues update on already deployed technologies and explore new features that could be taken advantage of when applicableConduct technology awareness campaigns, facilitate related training, and drive inclusive ideation sessions through design thinkingParticipate on other analysis / insighting activities aimed at continuous improvementQualifications
Key competencies for position and level
Technology awareness on various business process automation, workflow, and reporting platformsSolution Engineering be it through configuration, ground-up development, or modification of technology platforms availableQA Testing of Technology Solutions to be deployedSolution Deployment to different development, testing, and production environmentsHigh proficiency for problem solving, root cause analysis, issue / defect management, resolution deliveryTechnical documentationEffective communication skills to all levels of the organization.Experience in documenting and validating requirements for process improvements.Collaboration and strong influencing skills to ensure the buy in of others across the businessKey behaviours we expect to see
