The Senior Finance Specialist will handle Corporate Finance functions focusing on Controllership.Key ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance, Advisories & PlanningRecommends tax strategies by researching, interpreting and implementing tax laws applicable for CIC group.Provides guidance of new and updated tax rules across CIC.Perform periodic review of tax rates applicable to the group.Responsible for the coordination of tax compliance review with Legal entity and Tax consultant.Maintain tax monitoring and provide monthly update to the management.Oversee the tax assessment of Legal entity and provide guidance as necessary.Handles the request for the approval of payment of tax assessment with Corporate Controller/CFO.Monitor the tax inquiry in AskFPA/CorFin portal, research and recommend applicable rulings required for the drafting of reply to query.Recommends process improvement relevant to tax reporting and strategies across CIC.External AuditProvide guidance on new or updated PFRS/PAS and be ahead of new guidance to assess the financial reporting or note disclosure impacts to the Group financial statements.Coordinates the progress of external audit with Legal entity and ensures the Audited Financial Statement of the group is submitted within deadline.Handles the coordination of audit planning meeting with external auditors.Coordinates with external auditor the requirements for audit committee meeting.Monitor the submission of Management to Statutory Reconciliation package and ensure the audit adjustments are reported in FS Consolidation system.Recommends process improvement relevant to external audit reporting for CIC group.Treasury StrategiesMaintain the monitoring of hedging across CIC and ensure the policy relevant to Hedging is applied by Legal entity.Prepares dividend calculation essential for declaration of dividend across CIC.Cashflow management of CIC standalone required for merger/acquisition, capital expenditures, dividend declaration and capital restructuring. Recommends strategies related but not limited to cash management, retirement fund, capital restructuring.Handles approval of intercompany borrowings with Legal entity and Corporate Controller / CFO.Recommends process improvement relevant to treasury management for CIC group.CorFin Policies, COA and TOA complianceUpdating of CorFin Policies as necessary, and periodic review if properly implemented and cascade to all SBUs.Handles periodic review of TOA to ensure the structure is aligned with Authorization Matrix policy.Responsible for periodic review of COA across CIC to ensure the accounts are properly mapped based on COA policy.Recommends process improvement relevant to COA and TOA management.Legal entity Accounting and Financial Planning & AnalysisAssist in maintaining the healthy financials for CIC standalone.Handles forecasting and budgetingHandles statutory audit and filing of tax returnsSpecial ProjectAssist in the project management initiated by Corporate Finance and any other functions to be assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, CPA preferred.Must have at least five (5) years related working experience on the same position in manufacturing environment; cost & project accounting experience can be considered.Must have knowledge in BAAN System or other ERP equivalentKnowledgeable on Financial system software; Dashboard, Qlikeview, ASYST, Adaptive and other reporting toolsLiterate in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint PresentationEffective in planning, organizational and communication skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsHighly analytical with Finance backgroundCritical CompetenciesPreferably Finance/Accounting Supervisor or Assistant Manager in previous work.Knowledgeable in Statutory reporting (External audit, Taxation), Corporate Treasury functions, involve in SAP implementation or at least with experience using SAP.Preferably with experience in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.Involve in tax assessment and have experience in dealing with tax consultant/BIR examiners.With experience in Financial Planning and Analysis is an advantage but not required.Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Power point presentation.
