JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Hydrologic Research and Assessment, this position involves planning, performing, and supervising of activities related to groundwater source exploration and assessment, deep well design and assessment, and geohazard assessment, and performing other tasks that may be assigned in relation to achieving business objectives.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plan, perform, and supervise activities related to groundwater source exploration and assessment (e. g., resistivity survey and analysis, groundwater modeling, groundwater mapping, groundwater quality assessment) as reference for groundwater supply development.
2. Plan, perform, and supervise activities related to deep well design and assessment (e.g., pumping tests analysis, deep well design, groundwater level measurement and analysis, groundwater quality sampling and analysis) as reference for deep well development.
3. Plan, perform, and supervise activities related to geohazard assessment as reference for surface water source protection and rehabilitation.
4. Review reports related to groundwater source exploration and assessment, deep well design and assessment, geohazard assessment prepared by other groups (e. g. consultancy firms).
5. Collaborate on activities related to water source development, protection, and rehabilitation.
6. Participate in programs to promote knowledge and skill development in water resources management.
7. Perform tasks that may be assigned in relation to achieving business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Licensed Geologist
At least five (5) years professional experience as a hydrogeologist, primarily on groundwater source exploration and assessment and deep well design and assessment, with demonstrable skills in resistivity survey and analysis, pumping test analysis, borehole tests analysis, deep well design and assessment, groundwater modeling, and groundwater quality assessment.
Post-graduate degree in related field (e.g., hydrogeology, water resources, environmental sciences) is an advantage.

Office working conditions are normal. Field working conditions can be difficult due to exposure to dynamic and rough natural environment. Venue and time of work occasionally change.
