Occupational Health Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Occupational Health Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, updating and implementation of the Company’s Corporate Standards, Procedures, Policies, Audits & Compliance Programs related to Occupational Health (OH) and related activities to reduce to acceptable levels risk of personnel injuries, illnesses or fatalities at Company facilities and business activities.He/she plans, organizes, and collaborates with the Head Office line management, Facilities Health counterparts, employees, and service providers to develop, implement, and monitor a cost effective and efficient workplace safety and health program that would enforce regulatory standards and eliminate or minimize loss exposure.As a member of Corporate HSE-BPMS, he/she double hats to lead the site counterparts in implementing fleetwide OH programs and providing technical and quality evaluations of the implementation through reviews and audits.He/she ensures compliance with EDC’s Corporate Health, Environment, and Safety Management System, Government Regulations embodied in the Philippine Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standard and Law, the Department of Energy’s Renewable Energy Safety, Health and Environment Rules and Regulations & Code of Practice and all other national and local regulations related to health and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of BS Nursing preferred, with valid PRC license, orGraduate of other allied medical profession acceptable if with significant relevant experience in the fieldCompleted the Basic Occupational Safety and Health Post-graduate Course from UP College of Public Health, OHNAP, or other DOLE-accredited providerPreferred, but not required: Masters in Occupational Health, Public Health, or other related Masteral courseOther training or experience (preferred but not required): Project/Program Management, Risk Management, First Aid and Basic Life Support and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, HIRAC, Basic Counseling, ISO 45001, AgileWith at least 5 years experience in end-to-end program or project management, background as an Occupational Health Officer preferred
