Job Description Summary
Establish and drive the product strategy and vision for the product group. Define and manage the product roadmap, setting off and continuously managing the right expectations with all relevant stakeholders including the senior leadership team. Work closely with business groups, engineering, finance, design, program management, legal and other internal teams to deliver products successfully. Proactively identify and resolve product issues that may impair the organization’s ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals.Implementation of roadmap, strategy, and business models for assigned product and manage product lifecycle. Leads the product design and drives the delivery to ensure project teams meet the project deliverables. Champions product lifecycle management for the specific product line, and proactively reviews product performance drivers with the goal of either to reinforce, reassess or retire products. Oversees overall product insighting conducted by product managers and decides on product construct, terms of offering, product bundling, etc.Goes to immersion trips to get close to the subscriber.Goes out on field calls with Sales personnel to meet customers and/or business partners.Provides inputs to segment and trade marketing for go-to-market plans and approach for product launches. Initiates and determines business viability for potential infrastructure development required to support the demand for the product portfolio based on the consolidated demand forecast for the products being managed.Defines standard product specifications and service levels to ensure the offering of relevant and competitive products that meet customer expectations.Design, monitors and updates pricing and cost structure of the product portfolio based on market, cost and competition.Ensures profitability of assigned products, optimizing product costs where necessary to drive profitability of overall portfolio. Leads the extended product team to provide all relevant documentation for the products in the portfolio. Collates and safe keeps all product-related information, assets and materials.
