Job Description:
Proficient in inpatient diagnosis coding guidelinesProficient in CPT/HCPCS code assignment including evaluation & Management facility coding guidelinesAdept at comparing documentation, code assignment and charge in the financial system for accuracy and completeness and elevating concerns to the appropriate managerFunctional knowledge of facility EMR, encoder and other support softwareAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the duties of the positionAbility to concentrate and accomplish tasks with explicit accuracyAbility to use office equipment and automated systems/applications/software at an acceptable level of proficiencyRequirements
At least 1 year IP Coding experienceWith active license/s (CPC, CCS, CIC)Proficient with Microsoft OfficeMust be amenable with working onsite and on a morning shift
