The primary responsibility of the Payment Posting Specialist is to post transactions received from the insurance companies into different practice management systems and balance posted payment transactions to the actual bank deposits. Secondary responsibilities include locating missing remittance advices from the payer websites or from calling the payers.

Job Details:

Payment Posting Specialist

Eastwood Libis QC (Work from home until further notice)

Monday to Friday | 9 PM to 6 AM

Responsibilities:

• Use our software to download Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) data into the billing account

• Manually enter insurance payments and adjustments into the patients' billing account

• Manually enter patient payments

• Process refunds and related items as needed

• Use our software to run periodic and month-end reports

• Follow regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures for billing multiple insurance lines

• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for correct payment and denials

• Forward denials to the A/R Department for further processing

• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role

• Aptitude to learn quickly

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and well with others
