The Plant Hygienist/ Microbiologist main function are to review and update existing Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures, ensure that plant sanitation procedures are effectively implemented and perform verification of implemented sanitation procedures through any applicable chemical and/or microbiological testing of processing areas, equipment and plant facilities.
Minimum Qualifications/ Experiences:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in BS Microbiology, Biology or Food Science.Licensed MicrobiologistWith at least 3 years considerable work experience in food manufacturing handling GMP, SSOP, and other cleaning and sanitation activities.Must be results-oriented, self-motivated and can interact with people in all levels of the organization,Can work with minimal supervision,With excellent written and verbal communication skillsWith integrity and professional ethicsAttention to detail with solid decision-making skillsProficient with MS Office and WPS applicationsDuties and Responsibilities:
Reviewing existing Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP), observe the actual implementation in the operations, collect data and list down all significant observations. Analyze data and provide recommendations and improvements on SSOP documentation, implementation, practices, resources and personnel training guided by the objective of program effectiveness and efficiency.Performing microbiological sampling and applicable regulatory, statutory or institutional standards, implement monitoring and verification activities for water, air, equipment and facility environment through any applicable microbiological practices and/or procedures (e.g. swabbing).Generating performance report which may include data tables, graphs ad charts, significant findings from performed verification activities, evaluation and analysis and recommendations for program improvements.Performing risk assessment and hazard identification for facility environment and utilities.Ensuring to follow the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) and/or Standardize-do-Check-Act (SDCA) model, continuously improve SSOP and Environmental Monitoring standards, specifications and/or procedures using audit and verification results as inputs.Participating in any internal or external system audit related to SSOP and Environmental Monitoring.Performing personnel training and/or awareness seminars if necessary.Interested applicants must submit an uploaded resume with an attached photo and duties and responsibilities from their prior work experiences.
