Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor.
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible in ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of quality systems, following applicable of maintenance, quality, occupational safety and line HR systems, anchored with business needs and objectives. The QA Supervisor executes plans and programs for the attainment of Quality Assurance goals and objectives by addressing gaps against key performance indicators and line trends. On top of these, the Quality Assurance Supervisor implements efficient resource management focused on maximizing material savings, cost improvement and overall equipment effectiveness.
What are the Roles and Responsibilities?
1. Lead the Quality Assurance Team by supervising QA operations within prescribed established standards – including, but not limited to, process & product quality, and cost – and ensure operational compliance based on key performance indicators and key results areas, as aligned with business objectives and business needs;
2. Supervise the end-to-end QA activities from material acceptance to finished goods releasing; and decide on actions and disposition of non-conforming materials or products, based on applicable standards and specifications;
3. Ensure implementation and sustainability of policies and internal memorandum; and lead alignment on updates on implemented policies and standards related but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC; materialize the Internal Audit team and ensure compliance on, established management systems mentioned; and assist in action planning of audited and potential non-conformances;
4. Collate and submit daily reports; and participate in investigation of process and product non-conformities; and provide guidance on the disposal of rejected materials;
5. Participate in production planning, and prepare work schedules & coordinate quality assurance services including, but not limited to, equipment & personnel swabbing, line opening & line clearance, approval for use of sub-manufactured items & in-process materials;
6. Represent the organization, as needed, in functional congregations, especially in liaising with Corporate Quality Assurance, Global Innovation Center, and other Quality Assurance Supervisors from different URC BCFG Plants;
7. Perform assigned tasks for subordinates including, but not limited to, daily direction settings, capability development, talent management, employee discipline, and performance & goals management; and
8. Perform other tasks and functions as may be delegated by the Immediate Superior/s.
What are the Qualifications?
. Graduate of Chemistry, or Chemistry-related courses; registration and license as Chemist is required; or graduate of Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or related fields, as allowed by pertinent professional regulations laws;. With at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing industry, 1 year of which in supervisory capacity. Experience in food and beverage manufacturing is required;. Has a deep knowledge in end-to-end value chain management for Quality Assurance spanning Material Acceptance, Microbiology, In-Line Inspection and Systems Implementation;. With deep experience in implementing relevant management systems in the food industry, including but not limited to EHS Management System, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL, FSMS, and FSSC; With prominent leadership, communication and basic management (planning, leading, organizing and controlling) skills;. With proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams, at minimum), and SAP; andWith excellent people management skills, backed by solid experience in coaching, mentoring, employee discipline, performance management, talent development and change management. Familiarity with labor laws and line human resources functions is required.Work Schedule: Monday - Saturday (shifting schedule)COMPANY OVERVIEW
