Job Summary:
The Technical Community Coordinator of Nature based Solutions Projects provides technical expertise in community and stakeholder mobilization and organization to accelerate the development of area-based NBS programs in Negros
Collaborate with community organizations, local government units, non-government organizations, and educational institutions, to expand and mobilize resources in support of the NBS (reforestation, afforestation, forest management, and protection) projects, establish institutional arrangements, and maintain harmonious relations.Work with EDC Head office NBS team and EDC Negros technical personnel and stakeholders to highlight project design considerations and build the case for the projectFacilitate training for community groups to enhance needed capabilities in reforestation and livelihood establishmentFacilitate the collection and organization of reforestation data including maps and area characteristics and contribute to the design of community baselining surveys that will feed into the project design and impact assessmentSkills and Experience
Excellent leadership, community coordination/mobilization, and administrative skillsExperience in reforestation/forest conservation projectData ManagementAbove average interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills (Visayan speaking a must)Extensive network with Government-line agencies, LGU, NGOs, Academe, Local Communities within the province of Negros Oriental, an advantageBackground or license in Forestry or GIS mapping skills, an advantageWilling to travelWilling to accept project engagement for one (1) yearbase Location : EDC Dumaguete City Office, DBPI IT Plaza, Dumaguete, Negros Oriental
