Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Central Lab Sensory Officer!
A Central Lab Sensory Officer is responsible for executing the sensory evaluation program of the Central Laboratory including the conduct of sensory evaluation, training of personnel and qualifying trained panelists. He or she will work closely with Corporate Quality Assurance to define the project goals and recommend appropriate testing regimen based on scientific sensory tools. The primary role is assuring the accuracy of test results generated through the use of appropriate, updated, and validated test methods, and the timely issuance of accurate reports in conformance to the organization’s documented procedures and applicable management systems.
What are the Responsibilities?
1. Receives requests from the customers and samples submitted to the laboratory for analysis and diagnostic evaluation using scientific sensory tools.2
2. Executes appropriate sensory evaluation methods (Triangle Test, Paired Difference, Multiple Comparison Test etc.) and uses statistical approaches to draw out actionable results and relevant insights.
3. Renders technical support to Quality Assurance whenever there are issues pertaining to sensory.
4. Trains and qualifies Plant QA, Trade Specialists and other laboratory personnel on sensory evaluation.
5. Generates, safe keeps and maintains laboratory technical records, test methods and monthly status reports of projects. When needed, makes effective presentations to laboratory customers and management summarizing the outcomes from sensory assessments and other studies.
6. Reports any concern affecting the operation execution to the Group Manager to ensure reasonable spending and implementation of services and programs, achieving the set targets.
7. Abide by the company policies and documented procedures.
