JOB PURPOSE:To provide assistance in underwriting, new business applications and customer service. Duties and Responsibilities:Underwriting1. Checks existing franchise for each policy request.2. Designs benefit package suited to the needs of the client.3. Prepares new business pricing computations based on recommended benefit package upon evaluation of Group Underwriting Head.4. Prepares renewal business pricing for existing accounts with unprofitable experience.New Business Installation1. Ensures that client’s submitted documents comply with the KYC requirements of AMLA.2. Prepares master policy contract set-up of newly closed group accounts to reflect the agreed schedule of benefits, price, terms and conditions.3. Prepares contract endorsements set-up to reflect the changes in the existing schedule of benefits, price, terms and conditions.Qualifications:Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics (for Group UW)Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in the medical field (Nursing, Med Tech, Pharmacy, etc. (for Operations UW)With 2-3 years' experience in Group Life, Medical Underwriting, or Life/Medical Claims AnalystKeen on qualitative and quantitative analysis with in-depth understanding of insurance coverage (life/medical).Proficient in using Excel worksheet/formulas.Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Good communication skills
