Senior Business Analyst (Reporting and Analytics)

DescriptionProvides support to MSS Global PMO Tools & Reports pertaining to the following functions, Pursuits & proposals, Project Management, Project Execution, Supply Chain, document Management, Project Quality, Lifecycle Services etc., with focus on insights and analytics systems and project / program support.Acts as a bridge and channel between the stakeholders and the development group in communicating business requirements to functional system specifications.ResponsibilitiesDuty 1: Insights & AnalyticsData GatheringExtracts/generates quantitative information from a single or multiple Business Intelligence Tools (ie: Oracle, One BI, GDW,Noetix, OBIEE/ADW, Azure or any other databases)Communicate with resource person/s to get input/raw data needed for report generation from different world areasConducts research to gather qualitative information from internal & external sources that will be used for analysesData ProcessingCleans extracted data using defined guidelines or instructionsFormats extracted data based on expected report output (multiple data formatting requirements with batching capability)Calculates data using available fields within the gathered information (basic math)Categorizes and segments extracted data using tools to convert data to information relevant to the report (excel, macro, database)Consolidates and standardizes data structure from different data sourcesCombines and consolidates extracted data from multiple resources using automated tools (excel, macro, database), and/or from different system tools and standardize data structure from different data sources in one single database using queries (SQL, MS Access)Calculates data using available fields within the gathered information (statistics)Performs testing of published content in SharepointData AnalysisGathers and analyzes report requirements from stakeholders.Identifies and provides solution to general inquiriesAnalyzes gathered information & data using descriptive analytics (basic mathematics & comparative analysis), diagnostic analytics (root cause analysis, gap analysis)Performs data integrity audit and creates gap reports to reflect errors or inconsistencies.Analyzes stakeholder requirements from an existing report and provides improvements and recommendation based on customer requestevaluates business objectives and recommends solutions based on customer’s requirementsMSS Business Development Systems & ReportingCreates new Local or Global reports as driven by business needs as it continues to expand and evolve.Performs scheduled maintenance for the following Global BI reports like Funnel Report, Yield Dashboard, Proposal Dashboard, Task Monitoring Reference Table, Global Win-Loss Report, Supply Chain Reports, Service Operations Reports, S&OP Process Reports, Gated Bubble Chart Report, GP Tracker and othersPrepares and communicates Funnel and Win-Loss gap reportsto all World Areas, putting emphasis on their areas forimprovement in terms of data quality and integrity.evaluates and analyzes impact of business process changes to system interface.Communicates change requests to the system owners/administrators (ex. Add or delete products, create, orchange fields) as required by stakeholders and business process.Creates and implements MSS Business processes related to the reports/dashboards requirements of the business while complying to the CRM gold standard.Coordinates with country/world area content reviewers on report content approval and publishing.Creates business process related to project pursuit Project Execution, life cycle services and Customer Care- proposalPrepares report handover documents outlining the guidelines on how to create, monitor, and maintain all MSS reports.Creates customized reports on sales and projects opportunitiesDuty 2: Stakeholder Expectation ManagementAnticipates and foresees the requirements of stakeholders based on previous data and precedentsEnsures that stakeholders needs are met on a timely and accurate basisEnsures efficient communication with stakeholders by delivering factual data, reports and information on time thereby maintaining strong capability and performance.Escalates issues/concerns from a process level to the appropriate support departments and provide recommendations to stakeholders.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor of Science degree in any business, statistics, mathematics or other related fieldsJob Related Experience:At least 3 years relevant work experience in analytics, business intelligence or insightsRelevant experience in data mining, data processing, analysis and report preparationHigh proficiency in dashboard creation and using Power BI in report preparationSpecific Knowledge:Advanced proficiency in usage of MS ExcelIntermediate knowledge in Data Visualization tools such as Power BIBasic SQL Skills for data connectionsBasic knowledge in StatisticsStrong project management skillsStrong aptitude in problem solving and innovationAbility to work in a demanding user environmentAbility to facilitate meetings, resolve conflicts, negotiate and influence othersProcess mapping/modelling; Data mappingSkills:Strong analytical and reasoning skillsStrong meeting facilitation and communication skills (oral & written)Strong presentation skillsAbility to work effectively across language and cultural barriersDemonstrated experience in managing process and/or systems changePeople and results-orientedExperience working with several levels within an organization, from frontline up to senior managementDetail-orientedA team player, with a positive attitudeExcellent time managementAbility to work independently with no supervisionAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral formKnowledge in Business systems such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Oracle EBS, Clarity, DocPro is an advantage
