Equity Data Management Associate - Market Data Specialist

Your team responsibilities         

The Equity Security Master team organization is responsible for providing data content and services for MSCI tools that fuels investment decisions. Our services focus on working with index and analytics teams on the production and development of input data used for product generation. In addition, we provide support to our sales team, consultants and client relations teams with client inquiries on content.

The Equity Data Management Specialist will be responsible for performing data operations ensuring the highest level of quality for a diverse data set of attributes. The candidate will play a key role in supporting reference and market data quality assurance for equity and ETF asset classes and also contribute to enhance many of the core data content systems.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in the financial markets as well as details of financial instruments. The candidate needs to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with emphasis on quality and accuracy. The candidate must be a self-starter who is proactive and assertive.

Your key responsibilities            

Contribute with the local equity data operations team, ensuring daily production processes are completed as per defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Monitor workflow processes and resolve issues with urgency as they ariseKeep track of operations metrics and ensure incidents are properly investigated and resolved to ensure they do not recurWork in partnership with local and global teams to enhance and improve client experienceParticipate in testing and validation on new enhancements and developmentsCreate an environment which fosters growth and development of people and ideas

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Good understanding of financial markets, financial instruments, index data and providersBreadth and depth of different asset classes and the data attributes associated with eachExcellent English verbal and written (additional language skills a plus)Ability to communicate and work effectively in a result oriented, team-driven organizationCommitment to improving the business and customer experienceAbility to work flexible and occasionally extended hoursStrong Microsoft Office skills a mustWorking knowledge of databases, SQL, Python, Power BI, R, VBA, Linux / UNIX a plusKnowledge of market data vendors (i.e. Refinitiv, Bloomberg, Telekurs, ICE, FTSE) a plus
