R&D Staff
The Research and Development Specialist will have to use creative abilities and research methods to improve existing products based on industry trends and develop new products to meet the needs of the company’s target market. You are expected to report on any technical product issues that are discovered during evaluation and manage product testing and trials, assessing the materials used, the efficiency of the process, and the effectiveness of the final product.
Qualifications
• Minimum - Degree in BS Food Technology, BS Chemical Engineering, BS Chemistry or any related course
• With 1-2 years’ work experience in Research and Development function specifically in dairies and powdered beverages.
• Excellent communication skills (written & oral)
• Knowledgeable in preparing technical reports
• Familiar with local food regulations, basic food safety requirements, and quality assurance
• Proficient in MS Office
• Highly analytical

• Ability to perform under time pressure
Duties and Responsibilities
• Records all trial results (e.g. product/process proposal specifications; documentation of recipes, formulation, etc.)
• Maintains a monthly portfolio of new product development updates and action plans
• Maintains product specifications and product costing information on file ensuring that it is consistent, accurate and up-to-date
• Monitors government regulations to ensure label and formulation compliance
• Responsible for the development of new product, product & process improvement, cost optimization and product maintenance initiatives
• Recommends processes and systems used within new product development programs and other
• Prepares yield computation including product costings
• Responsible for completing technical reports/presentations of various R&D activities
• Determines and recommends product usage information including serving suggestions, cooking instructions, nutritional information and possible product claims
• Provides product labeling information and prepares the necessary documentation to aid government approval process
