ASST. SHIPPING SUPERVISOR - CEBU BRANCH

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and supervise the overall Shipping Operations in Cebu Branch.Ensure SOP and Safety Regulations implementation and participate in the development of departmental goals and objectivesEnsure that all team members are performing assigned tasks effectivelyProvides timely updates to the head office and clients re: Vessel Operation and status of deliveries, vessel location, any abnormalities, incidents including damages, defects and missing parts/items and delaysCreate and submits daily/weekly/monthly reports regarding Cebu Branch operationsEnsure timely transmittal of Delivery Receipts and other pertinent documents to head office to prevent any delay in BillingDrafting and Sending of QuotationsOnline application of ABA & NOA, Bunkering Permits, and other Port ActivitiesCoordinates with Harbor master, Shift Manager & Gang boss prior and during Cargo operation; Receive approved berthing allocation from Harbour Master ATI & PPA;Ensure proper scheduling trips and allocation of Drivers, PDIs according to required deliveriesMonitor and receive information from FTLP PDI receiver for the CBUsCoordinates with the Vessel Captain to receive call information after preparation ramp, proper ventilation and checking of safety inside the Vessel to Start the cargo operationCoordinates with third party logistics/subcontractorsReceive VOF for Priority CBUs, subject for approval & availability of slotEnsure smooth cargo operation inside the vessel, loading & unloading and Process Vessel ClearanceEnsure that all CBUs/cargoes are loaded according to SOPCoordinate with other Team Leaders/Supervisors in other branches regarding ATA & ATDReceive daily inventory, pull out report and status reportMonitor of Client Claims and SettlementMonitor of Insurances, Overhead Expenses, and Manpower OvertimeOther tasks as indicated by superior and/or as required by the Vehicle Logistics Department

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in any related fieldWith at least 5 years of working experience in the same fieldAt least 3 years working experience in leading and managing a teamProficient in Microsoft Office ApplicationsWith a strong sense of responsibilityStrong Problem Solving skillsPreferably with driver’s license; can drive 4-wheeled vehicleExcellent English verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate and report to any level in the organizationProven Leadership and Time Management SkillsGood interpersonal and negotiation skillsCan motivate and lead a team in a fast paced work environmentCan work under pressure, with tight deadlinesHighly organized and attentive to detailsFlexible and adaptable to changeAmenable to work on field in extended hours if required by the operationsWilling to work in Cebu City from Mondays to Saturdays
