Logistics Supervisor

We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to oversee the transportation of products from one location to another, such as from loading docks to warehouses or warehouses to stores. Someone who can manage product pickups and deliveries with the company's delivery trucks or third party transportation companies and route drivers accordingly. A Logistics Supervisor who can typically conduct a cost analysis of several transportation companies vs the company's own delivery trucks in order to select one that is cost-efficient and able to handle the shipment loads.Job Requirements:Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalentHigh understanding, planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systemsManaging daily routes/schedules of shipments and deliveriesTracking the progress of shipmentsStrong verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational and customer service skillsShould have the ability to meet most specially those with short deadlines and should be detail-orientedKnowing all aspects of warehouse operationsReviewing inventory needs and keeping adequate stockShould be a team player that can motivate and manage various individuals to work together to achieve the same goalJob Responsibilities:Communicate with trucking companies, warehouse supervisors, customs brokers, sales forces and customersEnsure effective and timely implementation of all Logistics daily operational goals inclusive of Shipping functions and works closely with the Inventory Management teamDevelop and initiate monthly reports having required project timelines, corporate metrics and productivity measurementsSupports the inventory management team consisting of reconciling and maintaining of finished goods inventory by sku along with lot date at 3PL warehouse locations.Establish and manage relations with warehouses, ocean carriers, customs broker, drayage providers, internal and external customersAnalyze and log purchase orders commensurate to existing stock availability and reduce shipping costNegotiate and support logistics costs meant for 3rd party logistics providers assisting yearly budget goalsEnsure to process orders and on-time delivery by network of courier companies and warehousesPlan and arrange logistics required shipmentsSupport simplification and standardization of processes to accelerate logistics and enhance efficienciesIdentify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to Supply Chain ManagerAssist audits of vendor invoices and month-end processing to incorporate finance accrualsHead team to develop, articulate and maintain logistic process documentationThey also manage inventory, establish and maintain communication with suppliers, custom brokers, carriers, and others involved in the shipping and delivery of merchandise to different warehouses nationwide
