LOG SUPPORT - OCEAN FREIGHT

QUALIFICATION

2 years experience in Freight Forwarding industry preferable procuring ocean container freight for export shipments, has experience in working with ocean carriers as part of the workExperience / Knowledge of Freight Forwarding, Shipping industry, general logistics like land and sea transportation, Warehousing is an advantageExperience in the area of Containerized ocean freight shipments, operational knowledge and understanding of shipping containers for export and importBasic understanding of import / export requirements to clear borders in the supply chainExperience in using SAP, PIVOT and VLOOKUP

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vendor Registration, Vendor Update, Trigger TPRM Assessment, Vendor follow thru to ensure timely completion of data entryAddress gaps between contracted rates and rates on the TMS linked "Lane Management" price repository system - Clean up Lane Management for misalignment on rates, payment terms etcWorking ongoing & emergiing issues on the Lane Management Application system to closure (Mostly done using Excel sheets. Upload is done by Buyer)Track and work towards sourcing closure for new lanes or lanes that was retendered (meet current SLEA expectations)Clean up of ocean freight lanes on Lane Management system – Duplicate lanes, Clusters, payable carriers, right linking of vendor codesFirst level support to engage carriers for resolving capacity related issuesConsolidate lane requirements from Itrade team, clarify the business needs and reach out to carriers to secure Quotes. Consolidate offers and provide to Buyer for decision making
