Data Analyst (Group Strategy)

The Role

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible in supporting the team of the individual Product Risk Managers and the Retail Credit Risk Management Division Head in analyzing acquisition and portfolio performance data of retail asset products, as directed. Specifically, the deep dives are targeted to enhance the understanding of drivers of performance in the following areas, which as of now are limited, due to infrastructure/data availability as well as capabilities.

How you'll contribute

Performs regular reviews, analysis, and monitoring of the Retail Credit products portfolio of the bank, its subsidiaries, and affiliates through report generation, data analysis, and limits monitoring to ensure pro-active identification of emergent risks as well as existing risks and opportunities to ensure quality Risk Management.Understand fundamental concepts of retail credit business through review of policies, guidelines, and manuals and close coordination with business to be able to support the growth of a profitable business supported by appropriate and adequate risk management controls/capabilities.Communicate effectively the overall performance of the identified sub-segments as well as possible drivers of underperformance and/or growth opportunities in the Retail asset portfolio based on portfolio data – to the respective Product Risk managers and Retail Credit Risk Management division head.Continuously Review, Assess and Implement Credit Policies and Procedures to ensure implementation of Risk Management framework and compliance to regulations.Establish proper planning of various tasks and responsibilities through time allocation, prioritization, and calculated decision-making to achieve optimal execution of job function.

What we’re looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Mathematics/Statistics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, MIS, or any related courseAt least 2 years of experience in Banking and Financial, Corporate Finance/Investment, General/Cost Accounting, Credit (evaluation/Appraisal), IT-Software, Actuarial/Statistics, Sales-Financial ServicesHas background in Risk Management principles; Familiar with various Retail Credit products such as Cards and Loans; Excellent working knowledge in MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, and R systemHighly Analytical; Skilled in Programming and Report Creation; Also has project management and presentation skillsAble to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties; Has the ability to adjust to a dynamic environment; Good attention to detail; Has the ability and willingness to constantly improve and automate current processes
