The Social Worker will be under the Odyssey Foundation, Inc. He/She will be involved in Project/Program Management and Communications Management.
Responsibilities are as follows:
Conducts feasibility studies, preparation of project proposals, and development of action plans and implementation of program interventionsEstablishes initial contact with community for introduction of programConducts social surveys as and when required or asked by the managementCollects necessary baseline information about the areaLiaises with partner organizations and institutions the project areaActively assists and participates in project events (meetings/workshops/trainings)Responsible in monitoring and supervision of assigned projects being implementedManages project database and other M&E toolsImplements assigned project’s M & E plan in a professional mannerParticipates in Project reviewProvides technical support to project team and partners when necessaryPrepares and participates in periodical meetingsMaintains records of contacts for database (donors, consultants, networks)Coordinates with project teams in documentation of the Foundation’s achievementsSupports in developing communications tools: video clips, leaflet, press release, databaseEstablishes relationship and attends technical meetings with other NGOs and networks when appropriateEnsures close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results as specified in.Required Skills and Qualification:
College Graduate of any 4 year course preferably related to community organizing and social workAt least one year experience in community organizing activities.Can effectively build, plan, direct, organize and control project activities under the direction of the project manager and executive director.Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment.Strong commitment to the project's poverty alleviation goals and demand driven strategyProven ability to lead, build team and to communicate effectively with people of diverse culture and traditions.Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel & Powerpoint).Can prepare reports and documents as required including progress reports, outcome/impact monitoring reports, assessment, financial status, financial plans and others.
