Job Description

We wish to inform you that DSWD Field Office VII, Cebu City has the following vacant contract of service position/s:

One (1) Slot for Social Welfare Officer II

I.             TERMS OF REFERENCE

                     Position                             :        SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER II

               Salary Grade                      :         15 (Php 35,097.00)

               Status of Employment      :         COS

II.       QUALIFICATION GUIDE

          Minimum Qualifications:

            Education                 :  Bachelor of Science in Social Work

            Training                    :   4 hours of relevant training

            Experience               :   1 year of relevant experience

           Eligibility                    :    Registered Social Work

          Preferred Qualification:

            Education                 :     Bachelor of Science in Social Work

            Training                    :     8 hours of relevant training

            Experience               :     2 years of relevant experience

            Eligibility                    :     Registered Social Work

I.              JOB DEscriptION

1.        Develop  strategies in the recruitment of prospective foster parents/families;

2.        Conduct recruitment and develop foster parents;

3.        Assess eligibility of prospective foster parents/families;

4.        Assist or provides information to foster parents in securing the necessary documengts of clients;

5.        Prepare Home Study Reports of prospective foster parents/families;

6.        Present the case of prospective foster parent in the foster care matching conference;

7.        Recommends th issuance of a foster license or foster placement authority;

8.        Provide Capability Building activities to the foster parents in the management of child placed under their care;

9.        Conduct monitoring visit on the foster care placement;

10.     Maintain records and caseload inventory of handled cases;

11.     Contribute to the development of new strategies, technologies or enchancement of existing policies of Foster Care Program;and

12.     Perform otherfunctions as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or the Regional Director.
