The Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible to lead in generating new merchants for the Business Development Team. This job requires strong skills, high performance in inbound and outbound sales prospecting, and prospect qualification using a number of available tools including, but not limited to, phone, email, and social media sites. This individual acts as the acquisition expert.
What You'll Do:
Lead in the Acquisition of new merchants for BD.Lead in strategizing lead call-outs and sales presentations to potential merchants, and acquiring them to be part of the RiderKo BD Merchant portfolio.Develop new businesses via telephone, industry events, and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce RiderKo and identify BD merchants within the target market/geographical location.Responsible for researching, contacting, and following up on new leads that could create business opportunities with Merchants and convert them into business actions.Responsible for qualifying potential prospects worthy of onboarding.Responsible for identifying new processes that could help facilitate development between the Commercial Sales Support team and different sales channels.Main point of contact to handle end-to-end of the BD merchant’s lifecycle: from lead generating, onboarding, and activation.Perform other assigned value-adding duties related to the project or the companyMust-Haves:
Bachelor's Degree in any business-related course.At least 5-7 years of related working experience.With experience working in App and Logistics industry or any similar industries.Strategic, innovative, and creative personality with strong business acumen.Excellent interpersonal skills and can collaborate at all levels, with ownership, and with the accountability of work in a fast-paced working environment.Strong negotiation skills to close sales.Strong existing working relationships with clients.Outgoing and persuasive personality.Proficient in using MS Office, especially in Excel and PPT.Self-starter, able to grasp instructions, ask questions, and take ownership of situations and projects.Attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of working on multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.Critical-thinker, and problem-solver.Amenable to work on a hybrid setup.
