Business Development Specialist (“BD Specialist”) will assist evaluate and conduct an analytical assessment of business development initiatives with the objective of determining strategic fit to Food Group’s strategies.
He/ she will also help in leading and managing business development projects with involvement in the following key areas: planning support, concept development, project feasibility and/or assessment.
The BD Specialist is also accountable for the transition of approved project/s for operational implementation.
Business Opportunity Development Assist in evaluating strategic business opportunities for organic businesses, projects, consulting engagements, partnerships, alliances, mergers, or acquisitionsHelp in analyzing and evaluating findings of market research or analysis projects, the viability of alternative opportunities, and present recommendations to immediate superior and key executives. Provide key executives with regular quarterly reports highlighting financial performance, business overview, and strategic moves of competitors in the food industry.Project Feasibility & TransitionAssist in leading concept development of business development initiatives and ensure collaboration of various ad hoc members for presentation to approving body Ensure thorough and accurate viability analysis of program or project feasibility to assist management or project proponents in assessing the strategic fit and in arriving at a sound business decision.Ensure the smooth and timely transition of approved projects to key operating teams.Networking and partnerships Ensure collaboration and synergy with corporate support groups and business units in the Aboitiz and Food Group in evaluating the viability of potential projects and various alliances. QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor Degree holder with discipline in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or Economics.Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience in corporate finance (M&A, project evaluation) or related discipline at least in a supervisory capacityA background in corporate strategy, investment banking, management consultancy, or operations management Well-versed in finance; experience in financial modeling a plusWith experience in business / strategy planning, which includes crafting investor presentation (roadshow materials) and / or presentation materials to senior management for project rationaleExposure in the food-related industry an advantageLicenses:
CPA / CFA a plusOther Requirements:
