Job Summary
Responsible for the upkeep of the financial books of all entities in scope in accordance with acceptable accounting principles and standards. Ensures accuracy of financial records through the review of general ledger transactions. Performs general accounting activities regularly such as bank reconciliation and month-end closing adjustments. Assists in attending to financial audits. Recommends improvements in the accounting system and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares monthly adjusting journal entries.Performs monthly bank reconciliations.Monitors prior months reconciling items if properly recorded/adjusted in the books.Coordinates with the concerned departments/units if there are erroneous entries entered in the books for adjustments.Assists with the monthly closing of the books and account analysisPrepares monthly reports for submission to managementAssists in the preparation of audit schedules and works closely with the auditors to ensure the timely completion of the audit.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or any business coursePreferably with at least one year experience in general accounting; fresh graduates are also acceptableKnowledge in finance, accounting processes & control principle, ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.Preferably with knowledge in the use of SAP or any accounting software.Well-versed in Philippine Financial Reporting Standard (PFRS) and statutory reporting.Proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
