Key Responsibilities: The Senior Bookkeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining the core bookkeeping functions of the company, focused on accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations. The role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer in Australia and focus largely on recording, computing, and classifying/ assigning financial data. Ensuring that Stafflink’s core finance processes are working smoothly is crucial to our ability to make sound investment decisions, enabling us to grow the company to meet our ambitious plans. ●      Accounts Receivable: Prepare and issue sales invoices to clients of Stafflink through our monthly billing cycle, as well as ad-hoc billing. Respond to client’s billing queries in a timely, accurate and clear manner via email communications. Ensure credit notes are generated and settled with clients on a weekly basis ●      Arrears: Assist the CFO with arrears collection by investigating specific client issues with billing.  ●      Accounts Payable: Ensure all bills are received, processed, coded and sent for approval and payment in a timely manner. Communicate with suppliers as required to gain additional information for assurance over the bill ●      Bank reconciliations: Daily reconciling of items that pass through all bank accounts, and particular attention to have all matters resolved for month-end close. ●      Month-end close: Assist the Accounts Officer and CFO with basic month-end processes related to your daily tasks to ensure an accurate and timely close of the accounts each month ●      Continuous Improvement: Stafflink prides itself on our innovation, and we always seek to find smarter ways of working. This extends to all members of the Finance team, including this role, so that we are always improving the accuracy and timeliness of insightful financial data. ●      Finance processes: Follow processes implemented by the CFO and broader Stafflink team to a high standard through attention to detail and clear communication of issues as they arise ●      External client communications: Prioritise and manage client’s expectations. Resolving any accounts enquiries by staff or clients  ●      Technical skills: Apply your accounting skills and experience on a daily basis using Xero, Excel, Google Sheets, and other financial and non-financial software ●      General accounts based on administrative tasks or processes as assigned Qualifications and Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration is preferred, or an equivalentKnowledge of office and accounting procedures, principles, standards, and industry regulationsAdvanced competency in accounting and business management softwareExceptional computer skills – MS Office Suite3-5 years of bookkeeping experience in a commercial leasing office environmentExcellent communication skillsStrong ability to work independently; Ability to research and problem solveDemonstrated knowledge of phone and email procedures and etiquetteAbility to prioritize and meet deadlines.Strong attention to detail
