Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage daily program-wide accounting and finance functions including timely recording of transactions, cash management, banking, payroll, inventory, receivables, and payables. Review and track all project payments to ensure accuracy and proper coding of invoicesManage office petty cash, and day-to-day small expendituresEnsure timely reimbursements and accurate log recordsEnsure proper and complete financial record keeping (receipts, contracts, backups)Assist the President with quarterly and year-end financial reports, as neededDirects the preparation of tax plans for the company as necessaryPerform monthly reconciliation of the general ledger accountsLiaise with partner organizations on financial issues, as necessaryOversee office maintenance and manage project property, infrastructure, and asset documentationPlan and implement systems for financial operations management, budgeting, consolidation of accounting information, internal controls, financial reporting, financial record keeping and compliance.Train and supervise finance staff.Prepare monthly standard accounting submissions for review by the President, including general ledger files, account reconciliations, expenditures by cost center/project, as well as other financial information in a timely and accurate manner.Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent in accounting or finance is required. An advanced degree is preferred.CPA is preferredA minimum of four years of progressive financial management experience is requiredGood communication and excellent interpersonal skills A team player who is responsible, diplomatic and confident at dealing with people at all levels and different backgroundsA problem-solving and solution-oriented attitude; be methodical and adaptable Planning skills and attention to detailAbility to work under minimal supervision and deliver on set objectives within given deadlinesApproachable and willing to listen and assist finance and non-finance colleagues
