Position Purpose:

To drive significant increases in organic traffic to Savings Media Group’s websites including savings.com.au, yourmortgage.com.au, yourinvestmentpropertymag.com.au and infochoice.com.au. The role will join a team of SEOs and work closely with the editorial, marketing and digital teams.

Monitor and evaluate search results and organic performance across the major site verticals (eg. Home Loans, Car loans, Personal Loans, Term Deposits, etc.)Develop and implement search strategies to grow high intent traffic, including SEO audits to drive practical insights and actionable outcomesUndertake hands-on activities including keyword research, on page optimisation and technical site updatesConduct regular competitor analysis and look for optimisation opportunitiesCollaborate with editorial team colleagues to ensure that the focus of new and existing content is aligned to attract the right audience to the siteWork within the Editorial Team’s WIP / Workflow by using the same systems which are leveraged by the rest of the Group, including the Atlassian products Confluence and JiraStrong awareness of commercially focused Digital success factorsLeverage the knowledge and insights from the broader Firstmac Group digital team (eg. paid media, CRO, SEO) to drive content focus and relevanceKnowledge of the latest developments, trends and best practices in the SEO communityFrom time to time, undertake SEO activities for the broader Firstmac Group, including working with Marketing Team colleagues based in the Brisbane and Philippines offices.Monitor industry activity and development (eg. comparison & news websites) and continually suggest ways for the site to innovate and improve its proposition to its audience

Job Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related disciplineMinimum 2+ years' experience working within the marketing function with a strong focus on SEO and data driven decision making.Excellent experience in constructing, improving and executing SEO strategies Proficiency with SEO auditing, reporting & analytics software such as GSC, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics. Desirable but not required, Deepcrawl, Datastudio & GA4 Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript is highly desirable An ability to positively adapt to change and make sure this change is reflected in creating workable solutions for the organisationProficiency using content management systems

All candidates must be Work From Home / WFH-Capable :PC/Laptop with atleast Core i7 (quad core), 16gb minimum, 256gb SSD minimum, Windows 10 Pro 64bit.10mbps minimum internet speed.Of course an ideal work space set-up for optimized work productivity is a given.
