JOB OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for the effective and efficient management of space, trade inventory and merchandising operations. Ensure that assigned personnel are producing results that are in consonance with the decisions and policies set forth by the management
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish good working relationships and commitment across organizational boundaries including key accounts’ personnel, principals, and third party customers.Ensure smooth flow of communication within the group in managing the requirements and needs of the customers, accounts, management and principals.Set merchandising/trade inventory performance standards, train, and evaluate performance of Merchandising Manager, TDS Supervisors and TDSEnsure that the deployment of merchandisers is in consonance with Payout /Break even standardsInitiate, design, implement and monitor merchandising programs along with the NSM/Brand Managers/ to achieve maximum visibility of brands.Keep abreast with developments in the industry by conducting regular store visits to assess overall business in the area and monitor competitive activities such as brand launching, advertising and promotion campaigns, price surveys and to inform management about such activities.Monitor/guide the TD Team in the implementation of merchandising/trade inventory management in their accounts. Conduct performance audits on all subordinate personnel.Key Performance Indicators tracking for all members of the Merchandising Group.
Monitor the regularity of outlet/branch calls by merchandising Coordinators & Merchandisers.
Ensure up to standard performance vs. merchandising man days in the covered outlets.
Ensure prompt submission of all required reports.
Ascertain that itineraries are followed accordingly.
Ensure trade-marketing programs are consistent with brand and company directions and standardsTraining of TDS/Merchandising Coordinators/Merchandisers on the proper deployment of Point of Sale Materials in coordination with the NSM/Brand Managers/Regional/Sales Mgrs./KAMOther tasks deemed necessary by managementSkills/Qualities requirement:
Thorough understanding of the FMCG industry.Understanding of the trade development programs to be implemented by Benby.Ability to counsel, advise and influence.Space management and trade inventory management.Ability to identify merchandising opportunity areas.Plan and allocation of resources.Ability to negotiate with key personnel of chain wide accounts.Ability to communicate and coordinate activities.Good interpersonal skills.
