Assists the Head of Merchandising in managing the fresh product category for its pricing and overall promotion, sourcing of products and suppliers under fresh.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in the retail industry - Prior experience in managing fresh category portfolio including meat, vegetables, fruits, and etc.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, or any related courseExtensive experience in buying or category, and supplier managementHighly analytical, and has attention to detailsExcellent communication SkillsStrong negotiation skillsDuties and Responsibilities
Assists the Merchandising Head in ensuring miscellaneous income is being optimized via promotions, item listing, space maximization, new store support, among others.Assists the Merchandising Manager in monitoring merchandising trade plan’s consistent implementation/execution across all stores.Helps ensure that mailers and end caps’ potential income is maximized and accounted through proper monitoring of category lay-out and display.Recommends and assesses target stocks of stores for items under the category based on sales performance, market trends and demographics
