Revenue Accounting Supervisor

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: 

Minimum Educational Qualifications for this position Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accountancy

Professional License is an advantage but not required

Relevant Experience:

At least 5 years of relevant experience in Revenue Accounting/Assurance, Audit or Financial ReportingTelco experience is an advantage but not required

Business Understanding:

Proficient and has a good understanding of the accounting standards, applicable rules, and regulationsDemonstrated ability to understand business context and processes to identify risks

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

Coordination and compliance

Ability to commission, deploy and monitor effectiveness of Revenue Accounting members to ascertain proper task or responsibilities allocation and delegationLead projects to improve the revenue reporting by ensuring the Company’s system implementation adheres to the current business and operational-wide business needs and follows the accounting standardsMonitor and review all aspects of Revenue Accounting and Reporting process in compliance with the established practices and standards (Both Financial and Operation) and collaboration w/ other department or managers.

Revenue Recognition and reporting

Lead continuous review of processes and controls around revenue streams and identify improvements and provide technical accounting guidance for revenue recognitionEnsure company revenue policies and processes associated with revenue streams are compliant with current revenue accounting standardsHelp develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, reporting controls and financial complianceLead the timely execution of accounting closing activities and responsible for accurate, complete, and timely booking and recognition of all revenue streams, including working with teams outside the revenue accounting department to establish and communicate deadlines that support month end closing activities.

New Product Launch Support

Review and evaluate revenue accounting implications of new product launches and other service offeringsEnsure timely and appropriate revenue recognition for new product launch and facilitate end to end support to new process w/ in finance.Review revenue related contracts and identify pertinent terms and issues to provide appropriate accounting guidance

Change Management

Provide support in the development of new BSS and ERP, and to ensure proper implementation and complete delivery of revenue accounting system functions.Support and Oversee system enhancements, requirements gathering, design and testingEnsure existing systems are operating effectively, and any new systems are designed to optimize resources and overall revenue accounting functional requirements

Revenue Accounting Process Efficiency

Establish comprehensive, reliable, and structured automated system reports.Develop and streamline the processes using system automation and tools to maximize work efficiency.Recommend changes to reports and processes to improve productivity and accuracy.
