Basic Function

The role is primarily responsible for designing and delivering NCLEX review classes to produce fully-equipped, NCLEX-ready scholars to ensure a high overall success rate. The job focuses in monitoring and reviewing the adherence and capability of the scholars while under the NCLEX Program. The job also includes up-to-date curriculum and content development, module designing, evaluating training feedback, and providing recommendations to further enhance the effectiveness of trainings. Furthermore, this role may be extended to assist in implementing continuing professional development programs in accordance with the nursing practice standards set by the Philippine Board of Nursing and the Philippine Regulatory Commission; promote completion of continuing education units in accordance with the nursing practice standards set by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing in the United States of America; and participate in other programs of the Healthcare Academy. The primary interactions would include assessing, training, and coaching staff with periodic reporting to stakeholders.

Essential Functions

·      Identifies the gaps between the desired state and the current state of knowledge and developing customized training curriculum that is scalable and provides EXL a competitive edge

·      Establishes and defines the structure of the learning context

·      Formulates effective exercises or assessments for essential learning improvements

·      Implements and demonstrates efficient training methods (i.e. test-taking strategies, etc.)

·      Monitors and evaluates operations, programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; make recommendations for improvement

·      Deliberates scholars that need support and coaching

·      Training need analysis, researching, designing and developing content such as module outlines, presentations, trainer’s guide, participant’s guides and other training material

·      Ensures that the quality of content is maintained as per the targets assigned and should be in accordance with internal standards

·      Updates training curriculum on an ongoing basis

·      Conducts follow-up training sessions to measure training effectiveness

·      Conveys leadership to scholars and teams within scope

·      Ensures compliance to organizational policies and procedures

·      End to end classroom/training management

·      Creates PPTs and other material and participate in presentation to the internal and external customers (presentation of capability building programs)

·      Assists the Healthcare Academy in securing other NCLEX requirements, as deemed necessary

·      Contributes to other Healthcare Academy programs (i.e. clinical preceptorship, CPD, CEU, etc.)

·      Scholars, for the purpose of designing and developing training modules

·      Team, for the purpose of up-skilling and certification of trainers

·      Supervisors and leaders, for the purpose of reporting performance, escalation handling, clarifying concerns, and seeking feedback and support, settling issues left unresolved, monthly evaluation of performance, updating training curriculum, trainer certification and for ongoing audits and feedback 

Primary External Interactions

·      Institute partners of clinical development team for the purpose of seeking feedback and incorporating the same into training modules, as and when needed, and identifying the right program or seeking guidance

·      Vendors, for any material/ service availed

Education Requirements

·      Graduate of BSRN

·      Preferably with master’s degree in nursing education or an NCLEX reviewer

·      Active local and US RN license

 Work Experience Requirements

·      Total work experience should be a minimum of 3 years in clinical academe and training combined
