The Role
Coaching, mentoring of buyersLead the delivery of tactical buying activity for operational planned spend opportunities within defined operational spend levels.Manage transactional buying desk activities and support wider strategic category management including raising purchase orders in line with Lear P2P system.Deliver additional value to operational buying on ordersInterpreting and meeting operational requirements/specifications, demand and delivery of solutions.Support of category sourcing that continuously improves suppliers’ and contractors’ compliance with Global, Category and Regionals standards.Work closely with category managers and business units to establish and deliver procurement requirements, strategic benefits and compliance to existing procurement contracts.Ensures products and services are purchased in the most cost- and time-efficient manner, delivering ‘agile’ solutions to implement and ensure purchasing best practicesevaluates, re-tenders, renegotiates or extends contracts and suppliers in order to facilitate tactical and strategic sourcing with relevant stakeholders.Engagement with operational teams to review pipeline and track regional and national opportunities.Deliver additional value to operational buying activities - supporting operational requirements/specifications, demand and delivery of solutionsIdentification of suppliers and supplier engagement in buying activities.Quotation analysis and recommendations, consideration suitability/reliability of suppliers to meet operational requirementsMonitor and challenge non-compliant buying activities.Report on compliance, procurement and operational KPIs.Utilization of eProcurement solutions, including eAuctions.Qualifications
Education
University Master degree educated / MBA or equivalent
Experience
Experience of operational and tactical activity.Experience in leading and managing a teamExperience in Purchasing in a large corporationExperience gained within large multinationals in departments such as Finance, Logistics, HR, Procurement and or IT.Language
English Fluent reading & writing. A second language is required at choice Mandarin and/or Spanish
Work Shift
We are looking for candidates covering principally Night shifts.
Places for Day shifts or Mid-Day shifts are limited.
It is appreciated to maintain flexibility to move from Day shift to Night shift and the other way around while a notice period is given as per local standards and regulations to adapt to the need of the department.
