The Field Service Technician is expected to perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance for supported equipment at various customer sites.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow all applicable Quality Management System documents (ISP 9001:2000 or latest version); ensure that Quality Policy is followed and Quality Objectives are met.Provide phone support as needed.Must respond to all calls in timely manner.Fill out all associated forms (SCF, CSR, RMA, FUF, EAR, etc.)Follow up with customer within three (3) business days of service call being completed.Verify that all replacement parts have been shipped and RMA’s received.Conduct installations, Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM).Review machine and customer folders before travelling.Prepare all tools, documents and replacement parts.Make all necessary arrangements for travel and accommodations as per company travel policy.Company with principal’s (Astrophysics) customer courtesy code (dress code, respect, patience) when at customer’s sites.Install in various settings, such as industrial or military establishments, and test XIS machines to ensure that it functions properly.Inspect components of equipment for accurate assembly and installation and for defectsComplete Installation Report (including Radiation Survey, Science Claims and Performance Check).Deliver Customer Package (Warranty, Satisfaction Survey, Copies of Installation and Radiation Surveys)Must be able to complete paperwork such as service reports, radiation surveys, parts requisitions, expense reports, etc., on time, error free and in a timely manner.Provide customer support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems and to provide information on product use.Update customer relationship management database after each service callCall customer within three (3) business days after installation. Verify status of machine. Fill out Follow- Up Report.Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems.Determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations and environment will affect outcomes.Provide user applications and engineering support and recommendations for new and existing equipment with regard to installation, upgrades and enhancement.Repair and adjust equipment, machines and defective components.Reports engineering anomalies and engineering change requests to technical lead as needed.Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems.Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment and software and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems.Return all defective or unused parts on a weekly basis.Package and ship consignment and replacement parts as needed.Maintain personal toolkit and preserve parts in proper working condition. Notify management immediately of any lost or stolen property.Maintain daily communication with Customer Service Call Center while travelling.Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operations of equipment.Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs calibrations and tests.Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.Promote the sales of extended service agreements.Report sales opportunities of new units to the sales department.Complete and submit expense reports within one week of expense occurrence.Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Work Days/Hours:

Whenever Employee is at home base: (Kalibo International Airport)

WEEK HOURS – Monday - Friday (08:00AM - 12:00NN at site, 01:00PM onwards, on-call)Saturday- Sunday- On-CallAvailability- Twenty Four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week; Employee shall be available to take/answer work-related phone calls and SMS on his mobile phone at all times

Whenever Employee is at his designated area of assignment and away from home base:

The Employee is allowed the flexibility to manage his own time depending on the actual needs of the specific client/customer being attended to;Availability- Twenty Four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week; Employee shall be available to take/answer work-related phone calls and SMS on his mobile phone at all times.

Education Requirement:

Must be a graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Computer/Electrical EngineeringPerform on-site installation, preventive and corrective maintenance for Astrophysics products at various customer sites.Technician is expected to successfully troubleshoot, diagnose and repair products and complete all service documentation and reports on time.Technician must provide superior customer service and properly update both the customer and the internal service team on service call progress.Comfortable in communicating in English with knowledge in Microsoft Office.Can troubleshoot, provide technical support via phone, web based tools and emailOne (1) Full Time position available
