RESPonSIBILITIESdocument and record management:•Conducts periodic review, updating and audit to ensure that compliance procedures are followed•Verifies that all regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated•Disseminates written policies and procedures related to compliance activities•Maintains documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes. Compliance assessment:•Conducts environmental and safety assessment to ensure adherence to environmental and safety standards and regulations•Implements improvement in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standardsCapacity building and programs:•Provides employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures•Implements environmental programs, such as air or water compliance, spill prevention or control, hazardous waste or materials management, solid waste recycling, medical waste management, employee training, or disaster preparednessCorrective and preventive action:•Checks and reviews status of corrective and preventive measures including resolution statusPolicy Advocacy and Stakeholder Management:•Establishes harmonious relationships with regulatory agencies, at the division or department head level, on transactions and special cases QUALIFICATIONS•Must have a Bachelor’s degree in degree in Civil/Chemical/Mechanical/Sanitary/Environmental engineering;•Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field and/or a license holder in Environmental Planning;•Must be familiar with all current environmental regulations in the Philippines, preferably accredited as a Pollution Control Officer by LLDA or DENR
