OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and motivated Mobile Maintenance Superintendent who is responsible for leading a dedicated team responsible for the mine’s heavy mobile fleet maintenance activities. This includes a range of responsibilities with a focus on safety, culture, revenue, and mobile equipment maintenance services. Reporting to the Asset Maintenance Manager to deliver the strategic plan and drive technical improvement while balancing supply chain demand and ensuring the team safely and efficiently executes critical maintenance activities.

Oversee the safe and efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities in line with the strategy and system requirements;Lead the team through change and drive improved performance through coaching and capability development across the team;Define and set performance expectations within the team and then drive a strong culture of accountability;Collaborate with suppliers and customers to solve systemic and complex issues that underpin our maintenance strategies;Monitor assets in accordance with the relevant standards and trending data over time to enable accurate predictions on the life span of heavy mobile fleet assets;Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement for the mine’s heavy mobile fleet and driving sustainable outcomes;Actively coach and pursue opportunities to ensure front-line leaders develop an inclusive operating culture where employees are empowered to speak up; andSupports the operation in delivering maintenance plans effectively and efficiently.about you
Ten (10) years of industry experience in underground mining with 8 years of superintendent role;Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities;Proven track record in safety and risk management;Proficient with computer programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Power BI;Experience with CMMS programs (PRONTO/JDE/SAP);Proficient in Mechanical (automotive/fixed plant), Auto-Electrical, and Hydraulic systems;Knowledge of Underground Equipment Remote System;Maintenance budgeting and cost management;Develop and implement Maintenance Training Programs;Drive for continuous improvement and innovation;Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Corp.
