Aviation Support Staff Responsibilities:
Oversees the tool room and its functions. Receives, stores, and issues, consumables hand tools, machine tools, materials, and equipment.
Essential Functions:
1. Creates and maintains essential documents such as logs and service reports
2. Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
3. Maintains inventory of consumable and equipment supplies.
4. Prepares inventory or maintains inventory of tools and equipment.
5. Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
6. Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
7. Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment.
8. Marks and identifies tools and equipment.
9. Log the workers name if they borrowed tools and equipment and double check if they return the said item.
10. Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
11. Maintain and manage tool room cleanliness.
12. Maintain and update records of tool room equipment, tools, and materials.
13. Issue tools, materials, and equipment to the concerned departments.
14. Ensure return of issued tools, materials, and equipment back to the tool room after use.
15. Check for damages or unusable condition of tools, equipment, and materials.
16. Organize tools and equipment on shelves and racks for easy access.
17. Transfer equipment, tools, and material from tool room to maintenance department upon order requests.
