The Emergency Medical Services Responder is responsible for ensuring timely, appropriate and respectful emergency medical care to employees, guests and visitors of the company. Responsible for assisting the EMS Duty Officer in integrating and coordinating EMS services and establishing procedures; and assisting in developing and implementing health programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Calls
Answer incoming calls and redirect them to appropriate department or employee.Operate radio, telephone or computer equipment at any emergency calls or report.Patients
Provide emergency medical care and determine the right course of action after evaluating the patient’s condition under the supervision of the Duty Officer.Ensure that transfer of patient to base hospital is properly executedEnsure that all emergency medical response is handled with utmost care and confidentialityMonitor that emergency response standards, sanitation and hygiene standards are properly implementedProvide optimum emergency medical service and deliver the highest level of professional care to preserve life, prevent further injury and promote recovery during responseIdentifies assessment findings that may require communicating with Duty Officer/Company Physician for adviceConstantly assess patients and administer additional care while awaiting additional EMS resources and while enroute to emergency facilityResources / Facilities
Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the officeAssist in ensuring that ambulance is properly maintained and functioning with complete emergency medical supplies equipmentEnsure that all equipment in meeting rooms are accounted for and in proper working orderReport any equipment or facilities which require repairAssist in implementing and promoting health and emergency response program in the workplaceReporting
Submit complete, timely and accurate reports to the EMS Duty OfficerConduct investigation regarding workplace related illnesses and injuries and give appropriate recommendationsConduct health inspections and medical surveillance in the working environment and work practices that might affect the worker’s healthImplement and monitor training, lecture, orientation, seminar, hands-on instruction and information, education and communication (IEC) materials to company employees on matters of health and emergency responseOther Tasks
