Reports To: Director of Sales and Marketing and also takes direction from Sales and Events Managers.Job Description:The Sales Assistant is responsible for assisting the Sales and Events Managers in the administration,office coordination and planning of events. Duties and Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Acts as liaison between Sales and Events Managers, Kitchen Commissary, Warehouse and Accounting Departments regarding event matters.* Coordinates documents and assists Sales and Events Managers with event planning from conception to post-event follow-up.* Assembles bridal fair collaterals, sales kits, and more.*Answers incoming calls, handles walk-in inquiries and distributes leads as directed.* Prepares all paperies and folders for use during the event proper. * Ensures consistency of information – makes appropriate changes to supporting documents.* Attends staff meetings as needed.* Maintains office equipment and office supplies.* Types, edits, and proofreads correspondence.* Prepares food tasting requests, evaluation and floral mock up forms and other marketing collaterals. * Prepares and releases event files for distribution to concerned departments (Banquet Contracts, Menu Plans, Décor Order Forms, Floral Marketing and others)* Maintains the database.* Assists Director on special projects and generates reports as needed.* Handling all customer and staff inquiries in an enthusiastic and professional manner.Performs other related duties as assigned.Other Essential Qualifications:* Integrity – Thinks and acts ethically and honestly.
